Part of my Master of Communication Design at RMIT: I was required to produce a site-specific publication that embodies a sense of place – in response to Michael Rock’s essay ‘The designer as author’, in which Rock writes: “[Graphic] Authorship may suggest new approaches to the issue of the design process in a profession traditionally associated more with the communication rather than the origination of messages.”

Deliverables included content generation and the design of an A5 saddle-stitched book, produced on a laser printer, using only black ink. For this project, I took the opportunity to design a typeface using the hand-painted typography in Guildford Lane as a foundation.
